Her passion for art began at a young age. Since then, she experimented with different materials and techniques.
At school she took full advantage of all the art lessons available and the inspiring teachers that help her to stimulate her plastic perception.
During her Design and Art studies at University and through all the years attending Marco Otero art workshops, she further developed her abstract painting style.
As a Designer she works in Design and Image providing advice and design services to the fashion industry.
Earlier in her career she was fortunate to have recognition of her talent as Designer including Awards and a coveted scholarship for Latin-American young talent to study a Design postgraduate at Polimoda in the city of Florence where she was surrounded by Art and Design.
María Laura has experimented with several mediums, such as graphite, pastel and acrylic, but acrylic tend to be her most preferred material.
She loves to balance colors, movement, energy and texture. Maria Laura's art is mostly abstract.
I have dedicated many years to the teaching and to the practice of abstract art, I feel with the authority and the pride of having been involved in the training of artists of excellence in the plastic field.
I am convinced that with her help, I was able to help to develop my disciple Maria Laura Gagliardi in an exceptional artist.
The way she uses the plane, shades and alternations of their silence in the fabric, impose on us and oblige us to isolate ourselves from all referential image, as must be the abstraction: only to feel.
Her language refuses to the obviousness of all easy shortcut and decorative style. Instead of this, she proposes a storm of stimuli that disrespectfully we keep trap with no reasons, only to reach the depth of the individual observer.
I am pleased to be an accomplice of her training.
